WebVisions 2010: May 19-21 = Best investment in new technology

Wow, has a year already gone by? Here I am again already anticipating WebVisions 10! I’ve been a volunteer at the last two WebVisions events and have not been disappointed. If “third time is a charm” I can only imagine what I might learn this year. For example, a few topics I’ve learned about in the past are: memes, sifr, gzip, web analytics, search engine optimization, ajax, social media, and (more…)

Rare Opp: Close-In Marine Drive, Portland, Home for Sale

Filed under: Client News — Kristin P @ 8:55 pm

OK, while a little off topic in some ways, not so much in others…. KP Services can help you with your personal marketing efforts, too. A client of mine is selling her house and needed some online and offline marketing assistance. So, KPS took pictures, created a PDF flyer, posted ads on Craigslist, helped her sign up with various for sale by owner sites, get listed in the RMLS, claimed her Zillow listing, and more.
Here’s some of the other links:

Here’s just a couple of pics…

A high school buddy of mine, Vince, called me up a couple of weeks ago and asked about helping get a website up for his new business – Junk Pro Oregon in the Portland metro area. After our conversation, he decided to get the website itself going on his own, through a ‘website tonight’ interface. I told him to give me a call if he wanted some help marketing it, and he did. His question… common for many… was (more…)

Filed under: Client News — Kristin P @ 5:53 pm

Jerrylene Kelly-Turner came pleading to help her get her website working. After two previous designers couldn’t give her what she needed, she found KP Services through a referral from Paula Salu with PICOCamp.com. Jerri wanted a simple PayPal shopping cart so that she and her daughter could add to and maintain the product catalog themselves. Knowing the ease of use and solid design of WordPress, I decided to make her site a ‘non-blog blog.’ (more…)

Terra Dolce Photography gets an overhaul

Filed under: Client News — Kristin P @ 10:12 am

Cindy Hovind has travelled the world and has the spectacular photography to prove it. For the last several years, she toyed with selling some of her pictures from Guatemala, Copper Canyon (Mexico), Hong Kong, Italy, Nepal, Myanmar (Burma), and more. She even had paid for a website to be developed. However, her web designer abandoned her and left her with a useless, broken, outdated Flash site that never met her expectations. Enter KP Services. A Long-Due Update to Cascade Wellness Clinic!

Filed under: Client News — Kristin P @ 8:45 pm

I started out with Dr. Rick Allen in 1995 and over the years have migrated his website to the present in both coding and design update, however, this latest re-vamp is a complete visual redesign! We tightened up the home page and added a horizontal banner and drop-down menus. While he has over 150 pages at his site, it was a fairly easy update as I had mostly prepared the site for CSS a few years ago. (more…)
