My clients Ron and Jill White of Probity Builders have another pet project they’re working on. In association with the Portland Guadalajara Sister City Association (and many other partners), the Jardin Portland is now under construction!
Jardin Portland, a park and sustainable learning center, is an international effort to help promote sustainability and green practices in Mexico and beyond. Take a look a the project video which gives a good overview of what is being created.
As a fundraising benefit for Jardin Portland, the conference “Sustainable Guadalajara 2040” is taking place in February 2010 in Guadalajara. The goal is to help Guadalajara to become a model of sustainability in the future that others can look to for guidance.
