WebVisions 2009 will be held at the Convention Center, May 20-22.
(Earlybird registration has been extended to April 6.)
I attended WebVisions last year for the first time and was not disappointed! Not only was this a great networking event (with some decent quality swag for everyone), I learned a lot, too, about things I never had heard of before: memes, sIFR scalable fonts, and more.
This year these sessions pique my interest, and I hope to see one or two of them: • Decentralized Social Networks, • Development for a Mobile World, • Future of Organic Search, • The End of Obsolescence: The Web as Ground Zero for the Post-Consumer Economy, • Rich Interface Design: How AJAX Changes Everything, • Serving the Next Billion.
A very cool thing about this event is the openness of information shared. Podcasts and links to many slideshare presentations are posted at the webvisions site for previous years presentations. How cool is that??
Look for me attending sessions on Thursday and volunteering on Friday! Not sure I’ll go to any workshops on Wednesday.
(By the way, volunteers are still needed. Use the contact form at the WebVisions site to request information.)
